Home At Last

This is a piece from a few weeks ago, I tend to work digitally as a whole just because I find the process quicker and much easier to make changes (although I love handling materials and touching textures). I think alongside landscapes, animals have to be some of my favourite subjects to study and let's face it who doesn't like penguins?

I Feel The Frost

This was my first attempt at getting back into the realm of mixed media, I guess because I'm born in winter I feel drawn to it so I like creating wintery landscapes playing around with muted greys and whites.

Take Me Home

Two images from recent work I made which I thought might work well as new home cards etc. For this piece I inked up some houses designs and then arranged using photoshop and using materials I have scanned, I added the colour and textures for details and to give it a hint of style.

A new year, a new start

Welcome to my blog, as my first post, I wanted to give blogging a try and display my work for inspiration, critique and just as a visual diary, this piece is of a winter village. I normally work using digital media and techniques, but this year I wanted to experiment a bit more using mixed media. I love making landscape pieces as places to escape to from my urban life.
